WorldLegacy Leadership Creates an Extreme Makeover for the Boys and Girls Club in Raleigh, NC
A WorldLegacy leadership team is creating an extreme makeover for children of Wake County in North Carolina for the Boys and Girls Club. A team of eight people, in two days, without spending any of their own money, is completely revitalizing the clubhouses of the Boys and Girls Club in Raleigh, NC.

A team of eight people is leading the charge in creating an extreme makeover of the clubhouses of the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County, 605 N. Raleigh Blvd., Raleigh, NC. The NC145 Leadership Team from WorldLegacy in Chapel Hill, NC are partnering with the Boys and Girls Club of Wake County to revitalize the clubhouses with new paint, furnishings and facility upgrades They are inviting the larger community to join with them in this creative and visionary endeavor.
This project is a part of WorldLegacy’s three-month leadership development program. WorldLegacy believes that the most effective leaders lead from their hearts, with a clear vision and a firm intention. In the Leadership Program, the participants are coached to stand outside the ordinary in order to achieve a quantum leap in results, personally, professionally, and in the domain of making an impact on this planet.
What makes this project unique is that WorldLegacy Leadership team designs the project from start to finish in less than one month, cannot use any of their own money, involves the community to do 75% of the work and has to have it completed in two days! Projects are born from the world vision of each team and usually have budgets that exceed $30,000. This project will provide the children of the Boys and Girls Club with eleven freshly painted, clean rooms with new ping pong tables, tables and chairs for homework and art projects, a new sofa, whiteboards, and other general repairs.
WorldLegacy teams focus on projects that benefit children, environment, animals, elderly, family, health, youth and world community. WorldLegacy’s NC145 leadership team selected the Boys and Girls Club of Raleigh through an application process that examined need, potential and philosophical fit.
In every community, boys and girls are left to find their own recreation and companionship in the streets. An increasing number of children are at home with no adult care or supervision. The Boys and Girls Club of Wake County provides a safe, loving place for kids to go after school for recreation and to work on homework. They positively impact over 1300 kids within the two Raleigh locations alone.
The NC145 Leadership team invites you to make this “Extreme Makeover” project possible on the weekend starting September 28, 2013 at 7:00 am Eastern Time extending through Sunday, September 29, 2013. Work will start at 7:00 am on Saturday and Sunday. Everyone is invited to come out, make a difference, and have this vision become a reality. The clubhouse makeover will send a powerful message to these children that they matter, are loved and are valued. WorldLegacy’s NC145 team will celebrate the completion of the project with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Monday, September 30, 2013 from 4:30 – 5:30 pm.
