- Fri Sep 07, 2007 9:31 pm #269 I came to WorldLegacy because I was in transition with my career goals and personal relationship and was looking for what's next. I never expected that one of the most valuable things I would create was connecting with my father who I had not been in touch with for 25 years. I saw what I had been doing to keep us disconnected and once I was responsible for that, I could see that I was responsibe for reconnecting us. In establishing a new relationship with my Dad I became interested in his life story and got excited about creating a video of him talking about his history, something he had always wanted to do. The video project idea grew and I wound up bringing together my Dad and his two sisters to talk about their childhoods, stories of their parents and grandparents and lessons they had learned in their life. During the video taping they not only got to give the gift of our family history to the generations to come, but they were also able to connect with eachother on a whole new level. It was profound for me to have created that. I have a new found confidence in my power to make a difference for the people in my life.
