My life was fine before I did the Leadership Journey. I had achieved success in both personal and professional areas. My husband and I were raising our 3 teenage daughters, I was the clinical coordinator in a radiography program for a health system where I had been employed since 1974 and I was the board chair for my state professional organization.
Since I completed the trainings in 2001, I have created many things. I began and completed a graduate degree, held two new positions one as a hospital-based program director for a health system, transferred that program to a community college in the North Carolina system where I began a new program and continue to serve as department chair. I increased my salary by 40%.
I have placed myself on my “to do” list by doing so I learned to be peaceful, grateful and joyful in the midst of a very busy life full of commitments. I have amity with the past, laugh at myself, and enjoy simple things that use to go unnoticed. Most importantly, I established great relationships with my family and friends! My daughters and I are very close. I now have three son-in-laws and three grandchildren (another due in two weeks). I have plenty of time for all facets of my life.
I am living with a freshness for life with operating outside my feelings, analytical nature, racing mind and situations. I am able to stop, relax and rejuvenate at any time. I see everything as an opportunity for something good to happen and place value on lessons life offers me. I notice and trust my instincts. I have a greater understanding of myself and other people which enables me to communicate enthusiasm, understanding, acceptance, forgiveness, grace, and love. I give others the gift of listening. I call it a “seed and harvest” way of living. I am able to give fully of myself, my time and ultimately my life in ways I did not see possible before I did Leadership.
I have reconnected with my faith and joined a small group at our church. I love cooking and participate in preparing food for a couple of elderly church members and super club with friends.
I recommend WorldLegacy's Leadership Journey because life can be anything people want and they can start living their unlived life at any point in time. There is always a new level of living, giving, thinking, contributing and way to be with others. Emotional intelligence is valuable and can be learned through the trainings. This directly influences relationships, their quality and depth. People can get on a fast track to creating desired results by realizing what is effective and ineffective about them. The trainings illuminate “blind spots” as we all have them and can only see what we can see. Everyone has a multidimensional past…we can either stay there, have it impact decisions today or not.
