Since I enrolled in the Legacy Trainings so many things have changed in my life! First, I see possiblities everywhere, and where once I settled for just about anything--now, I truly go for what I want. I just celebrated my birthday with my family~This is huge, as I left home at 14 and basically estranged myself from them ever since. Lately I see them in a whole new light, and am happy to say that my Dad enrolled in the Basic Training as well. There is nothing I want more than a happy family, that can spend time together and celebrate and have fun. This is all I wanted as a child, and part of why I left home so young--but somewhere along the way I gave up on that dream....until recently in the Basic Training. I got so deeply in touch with my love for my Mom and Dad that I transformed my relationship with them completely. I used to think our problems were all their fault, and that health or healing was all up to them, and now I see that it's truly all up to me! What a relief!!
Also, my music carreer is taking off with a CD release party about to be launched on Sept. 13, 2005 @ the internationally known Cat's Cradle, in Carrboro, NC!! This is the same day that the CD "Low in Paradise" hits the stores, NATIONWIDE!!!--Please come hear some original Sultry Americana Music! Going for this dream (of playing at the Cradle) was EASY after the Advanced course, and so many things have been on track since--including great interviews, awesome radio play across the country and reviews in periodicals such as Raleigh's Metro Magazine and the LA Times!! Tomorrow I'm off to Nashville to meet and greet at the Americana Music Association Conference--and all this is happening while I'm 'door guarding' and supporting the current Basic. Where once, I felt there was no time, now I see that I can create the energy needed to make my dreams come true, while supporting others to do the same
